Retail & brand environments.

Make the brand something people can experience.

Decibel works with brands, retail designers, and creative agencies to fabricate distinctive seating, fixtures, and installations for stores, pop-ups, and activations. From our New Jersey studio, we translate a visual identity into forms people encounter, use, and remember.

Discuss your retail or brand project
  • Fixtures & product presentation

Explore display plinths, sculptural product stands, counter forms, and focal fixtures. Begin with what the customer should see, touch, and understand.

  • Seating & gathering

Create places to pause and connect, from signature benches to modular seating compositions. Form, comfort, durability, and cleaning requirements belong in the same brief.

  • Brand forms & installations

Translate a motif into a three-dimensional presence: an installation, backdrop, or freestanding feature. Material, scale, and lighting context shape how the brand is experienced.

  • Stores & flagships

Custom seating, fixtures, and sculptural focal points developed around the store concept, customer journey, and surrounding finishes.

  • Pop-ups & activations

Distinctive pieces for temporary environments, with transport, assembly, duration of use, and the event setting considered from the start.

  • Repeat locations & editions

Low-volume production with agreed quantities and variations. Establish the core design, then review what changes between locations or applications.

Start with the experience.

Where should people pause? What should they notice? How should the piece express the brand? These questions shape the brief before we move into geometry, materials, and fabrication.

At SoHo, the identity lives in the bench surface. At SKYLRK, it lives in the gathering space. Each calls for its own response.

From creative concept to opening day

Plan the piece around the launch.

Share the creative direction alongside the opening date, quantities, site access, and delivery requirements. We use those inputs to define design development, prototypes, finishes, and production scope.

For multi-location work, identifying what repeats—and what varies—helps establish the fabrication plan before production begins.

One distinctive form. More ways to use it.

LFAM can suit a custom retail piece or a short series with changing dimensions, surface patterns, or site conditions. Printing directly from a digital model avoids a dedicated mold for each printed shape, making design variation worth exploring.

It is not automatically the fastest or least expensive route. We assess quantities, finish expectations, use conditions, installation, and opening dates together. Standard millwork or molded production may be a stronger fit for simpler geometry or large runs of identical parts.

Planning a store or activation.

Can you collaborate with our agency or retail designer?

Yes. We can work from an established creative direction and collaborate on the forms, surfaces, and fabrication details needed to make it physical.

Can a brand motif become part of the object?

Yes, where the geometry and production approach support it. The lululemon SoHo benches incorporate a logo motif directly into the printed surface. We review each concept through development and, where useful, prototypes.

How should we plan around an opening date?

Provide the required on-site date, approval milestones, quantities, and delivery constraints when you brief us. We assess the scope against the schedule before committing to a production plan.

Can pieces vary between stores?

Share the repeat elements and the variations—such as dimensions, surface treatment, or layout. We can evaluate an individual commission or low-volume production scope around those requirements.

What do you need to quote a branded environment?

Send the creative deck or references, approximate dimensions, intended use, quantities, venue or store location, budget range, and opening date. Flag outdoor exposure, temporary use, and any venue-specific requirements.

Can the work be developed alongside a millwork or fit-out team?

Yes. A printed feature can be considered as part of a wider store fit-out. Share adjacent finishes, fixture interfaces, mounting requirements, and the division of responsibilities early so the proposed scope can be coordinated with your project team.

What should your next space feel like?

Share the creative direction, the audience, and the launch. We will help turn the concept into a fabrication brief.
